Shorts

These have become my "go to" shorts!

Nice, Casual Shorts; Longer Length, No Liner Preferred

The good: they're comfortable; the mediums fit me well (5'9, 165); they're fairly affordable; I really like the brown color; the drawstrings are a good length - not too short, not too long; the pockets are a good size - not too small/shallow, not too big/deep (the pockets in the pants are way too deep, in my opinion); and the back pockets (I like that there are two of them) fit a wallet or phone easily. I should mention, though, that the pockets were sewn shut when they arrived, so I had to cut the stitches in order to use them. Another review said the same thing so perhaps this is to be expected?

The bad: first, while the liner is quite comfortable, I would much prefer the shorts not to have one at all. I don't mind a liner in workout shorts, but for casual shorts to wear around the house or out to get groceries, it's an odd addition. Maybe it's just me, but I'm used to wearing underwear all the time, so taking my underwear OFF to put ON clothes is a weird feeling. I'd rather just be able to throw them on over underwear like I do with every other pair of shorts/pants I own. Second, the shorts are a bit short in length for my tastes. The mediums have a 7.5" inseam, which, again, is fine for workout shorts. For casual shorts, I'd prefer them to be in the 8-9" range. I just don't like sitting down and having my shorts ride halfway up my thighs. The large shorts are said to be 8" in length but I expect the waist would be too big for me if I bought a pair of them.

So, while I do like the shorts and think most people will like them, too, due to the liner (and, partly, the shorter length), I probably won't buy another pair. If RB releases a casual short without a liner, I'd likely buy a few more as both the gray and blue colors look nice.

Excellent Quality - Very Comfortable - Treat Yourself

As soon as you open the really nice zip-top packaging, and feel the quality of the material, you'll know you made a good purchase.
The fabric is super soft and comfortable - kinda like sweats, but silky smooth. The liner is silky and comfy as well - thankfully not one of those chafing mesh liners. The front pockets are deep and roomy. You'll need to free the back pockets from the temporary stitching.
These shorts are a great addition to the RBLK clothing line. I also have their Everyday pants, and tees. They too are high quality, and very comfortable.
Email support is fast and attentive, for questions or comments.
Denver7 News highlighted RBLK as a new local, family owned business a few months ago, and I thought I'd give them a try. I'm glad I did.
Keeping a small business going is tough. I sure hope RBLK can make it. They do a fantastic job of offering unique, high quality clothing, at reasonable prices.
